The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:
“Three persons will not be looked upon by Allah on the Day of Resurrection: the one who disobeys his parents, the woman who imitates men, and the seller of prostitutes. Three persons will not enter Paradise: the one who disobeys his parents, the drunk, and one who reminds others of his charity.” [Sunan An-Nasa’i]
The double punishment goes to the person who disobeys his parents:
The punishment of Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) not looking at that person
The punishment of not entering Paradise!
To disobey one’s parents when they are not asking for the violation of Allah’s rights has been equated with the sin of putting women into prostitution and being intoxicated!
This Hadith highlights the enormity of some sins which we have come to take very casually. Consider that reminding people of one’s favours on them (rubbing in the good you did for them), and women abandoning their femininity to behave like men, has been equated with the sin of selling prostitutes, being a drunk (committing in the state of intoxication the crimes that are committed), and disobeying one’s parents.
Allah! Please save us from all this!
